Are you bonded and Insured?
Yes, we are bonded and insured. Your home, our service providers and The Cleaning Queen are included in the coverage. Insurance validation certificates are available upon request.
What happens if an item in my home or office is broken?
We realize that in the process of cleaning we may be required to touch almost everything within your home or office. If any damage/loss does occur, simply notify The Cleaning Queen within 48 hours of the cleaning date.
Safety
If you have an alarm system, make sure our office knows how to operate it. Please secure valuables and cash at all times.
How do you get into my home or office?
The Cleaning Queen must be able to access your home to provide services. There are three choices:
1) The most convenient: you may leave a key with us.
2) You may leave a key at some designated accessible place at your residence.
3) You may meet the cleaner.
Almost all of our clients prefer to leave us with a copy of their key.
Who and how many people will clean my house/office?
Generally, our service providers work in teams of one or two. You will usually have the same provider, however sometimes due to illness or other conflicts, we will have to hand it off to another trusted employee.
How do I pay you?
The Cleaning Queen gladly accepts the following forms of payment: MasterCard/Visa, cash or check. Payment is due at the time of service. A $25.00 fee is applied to all returned checks. If you use a credit card, your account will be charged the balance due, plus any fees, after each cleaning.
How much do you charge to clean my home ?
Fees are based on the size and condition of your home. When you receive the initial estimate, it is just that -- an estimate. Once the service providers enter your home for the first time, they should have a better sense of exactly how long the cleaning should take. If there is a difference int his price, we will contact you to discuss that difference.
Very often, first-time cleans or one-time cleanings may require additional time and an additional fee. If this is the case, you will be contacted by us prior to authorizing the service providers to spend more time in the home.
Should I tip the service providers?
Although not required, a gratuity is a powerful way to say "I appreciate your work." to the person cleaning your home. They also appreciate just a simple note, saying "thanks for a job well done"!
What is the cancellation policy?
If it is necessary to cancel/skip your regular cleaning day, The Cleaning Queen merely requires a 48 hour notice. If we do not recieve notice, it may be necessary to charge you for the cleaning. Future scheduled cleanings will remain unchanged.
Please be sure to submit in writing any termination of regularly scheduled cleanings. Do not inform the service providers of any changes to your schedule -- it must be done directly with our office.
If your cleaning day falls on a holiday, please reschedule your day.
Can I hire your service provider directly?
By entering into a service agreement with the Cleaning Queen, you agree not to hire a present or past Cleaning Queen staff member introduced to you by Cleaning Queen for any home-related service. If you do wish to employ such a staff member, our referral fee is $2,000.
